We are in the top three Jacksonville photographers!

Remember that we were nominated for the prestigious Best Of Bold City 2023 award in the category of photographers in Jacksonville! They have already announced the winner and finalist! Although we didn’t win, we were a finalist! We are among the top three photographers in Jacksonville!
but as I always say… being on the list of the three best photographers in Jacksonville reminds me that nothing is impossible.
18 years ago, I was in very poor health, a doctor told me: Oswar you have Crohn’s disease, it’s for life and stress is going to affect you. So he looks for something to manage stress. And so I started taking photos, a hobby that became my best medicine. 9 years ago my wife La Jefa and I moved from Puerto Rico to this great city. Starting from scratch. And the camera always by my side. While working on what I studied, I took photos, people liked my art and I saw that I could make money with my hobby. A year ago my first son was born, a little modern miracle! And that day I won a battle against Crohn’s, because for some reason, I have fertility problems. Managing to beat Crohn’s in this way, and our miracle came, life changed and I decided to be a full-time photographer. In this way I turned what was my passion into my full-time job, having control of my time and enjoying each stage of Oliver. And the adventure continued until we got here! This Latino, with Crohn’s disease, fertility problems, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and broken English…today he has been selected among the top three best photographers in Jacksonville! None of this would be possible without the support of the boss, my family and friends…especially the support of the Jacksonville community! Although I still don’t know who won, being among so much talent makes me privileged and that for me is a victory… a new victory that makes me scream at Crohn’s… I won!
I did my guts…hearts!!!
