We recommend booking your newborn session during your pregnancy’s second trimester. This ensures we reserve a spot on our calendar around your due date, especially since weekends and peak dates fill quickly.

Can parents and siblings be included in newborn photos?

Absolutely! We love capturing the incredible bond between your newborn and their family. Parents and siblings are always welcome to join part of the session.

Where will our newborn session take place?

Newborn sessions are held in our cozy home studio in Jacksonville, FL, designed to be a warm, clean, and peaceful space for both baby and parents. Here, we have full control over lighting, temperature, and comfort to ensure the best experience for your little one.

Do I need to bring outfits or props for my baby?

Not at all. We provide a thoughtfully curated selection of wraps, blankets, headbands, hats, and props so all you need to bring is your baby. We’ll take care of styling everything with a timeless, elegant touch.

That depends on the package you choose. Our Premium Newborn Session includes portraits with parents and siblings, capturing your growing family together. However, our Mini Newborn Session is designed to focus solely on your baby and does not include family photos.

Is my baby’s safety guaranteed during the session?

Yes. Your baby’s safety is always our top priority. We specialize in newborn photography and have completed extensive workshops on newborn posing and safety. Every session moves at your baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and comforting as needed.

In my home or in the studio?

I always recommend that newborn sessions take place in my cozy home studio in Jacksonville, where I have everything needed to create a calm, seamless experience. Here, you’ll have privacy to relax and focus entirely on your little one, while I handle all the details.

How long does a newborn session last?

If there’s one word that perfectly describes newborn sessions, it’s patience — spelled P A T I E N C E. These sessions are intentionally slow-paced and relaxed so your baby feels at ease.

I typically schedule sessions in the morning around 10 AM, and they last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, depending entirely on your baby’s needs. This allows for plenty of breaks to feed, soothe, and cuddle. No two babies are the same — they set the pace, and I gladly follow. If we need more time, that’s absolutely fine. Your comfort and your baby’s well-being always come first, and you’ll see just how enjoyable the process can be.

Do digital files come with the session?

Yes! You’ll receive high-quality, retouched digital images with full printing rights. We offer different package options so you can choose what best fits your family’s needs.

What is an unedited proofing gallery?

After your session, you’ll receive a proofing gallery of unedited images so you can select your favorites. Once chosen, we carefully retouch these images to perfection. Your final gallery will be ready within 4 weeks.

Do you deliver unedited photos?

No, we do not deliver unedited images. You will receive only your carefully selected, fully retouched photos — finished with our signature style to ensure they are timeless, polished, and truly beautiful.

What if I have more questions?

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, You can pay with a credit card, Zelle, CashApp, Cash, Venom, we even also have AfterPay with which you can pay in 4 installments!

Do you have accessories and props?

Yes! I have a beautiful collection of hats, baskets, blankets, wraps, and other carefully selected props. In fact, 99% of what you see in my newborn photos is available for your baby’s session.

What should we bring?

Most of the time, newborns are photographed without clothing, in a diaper, or with simple little shorts so the focus stays entirely on them — the true star of every photo. I also have a variety of newborn outfits and accessories. So don’t worry about a thing; just bring your baby (and a pacifier if you use one). I’ll take care of the rest.

Will my photos be retouched?

Yes. Every final portrait is carefully edited and retouched to highlight your baby’s natural beauty, while preserving a timeless, elegant look.

What is your photography style?

Don’t worry! None of the families you see on our website are models. From the moment you arrive, we’ll guide you gently through every step, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

Are you good with kids with special needs?

Absolutely! We’re passionate about working with children of all abilities. Magalys is a child psychologist, and we both have years of experience volunteering with children with special needs, including those with autism and Down syndrome. We understand the importance of patience, flexibility, and creating a comfortable environment where every child feels celebrated. Every child is welcome at Oswar Photography.
